(Hereinafter called the "TRUSTEES") which expression shall include the survivor or survivors of them and the administrators and executors of the last survivor or the Trustee or Trustees for the time being of Trust hereby created.

WHERE WAS the Settlor is desirous of and has decided to create and establish a Trust for the purpose of helping the Promotion of Veterinary Science.

Now Therefore this deed of Trust witnesses as follows:-

• Name of the Trust shall be DR C.M. SINGH ENDOWMENT TRUST and the office is situated at A-336, Rajendra Nagar, Bareilly. It may be changed from time to time.




• (a) The number of Trustees shall be subject to maximum of 10 and minimum of 7. The Trustees mentioned in the preamble shall be the first Trustees and their designations shall be as mentioned against their names. The minimum number of Trustees Board shall be one of the Trustee, always should a member of the Trust Board absent himself from four consecutive meetings of the Board without notice in writing to the President he shall cease to be a member of the Trust Board but may be reinstated by the board one time only.

  
  

  (b) Their term of office also shall be for five years. Any vacancy in the Board of Trustees due to death or resignation or incapacity or default shall be filled by the Settlor during his life time and thereafter by co-option by the remaining Trustees.

  
  
• All the properties and funds and management and administration of the Trust shall vest in the Board of Trustees. The Board can sell and purchase new properties for the benefit of the Trust. Board can authorise one or more of the Trustees to execute deeds on its behalf and get them duly registered.


• The Objects of Trust shall be as follows:-



• a.To recognize and award suitably in recognition of services in the field of research, education and extension in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry rendered by a veterinary Graduate/ Veterinarian.




• b.To organize Oration Lectures on Veterinary and allied field.




• c.To publish literature for promotion of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry.




• d.To institute Dr C.M. Singh Gold Medal for the Best PhD student of IVRI Deemed University in a particular academic year on the basis of his/her academic performance, thesis research and extracurricular activities.




• e.To organize debates/essay competition on Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry.




• f.To honour a person for his/her contribution in developing indigenous pharmaceuticals/ medicines/ vaccines/ feed additives/ research clues for betterment of animal health and production.




• g.To work in close collaboration with other sister professional biomedical organizations/ institutions/ fellow societies of higher learning for promotion and widening the scope of veterinary science for serving the society at larger in effective manner. The objects of the Trust will not include objects involving activities for profit within the meaning of IT Act 1961.




• The Settlor does hereby declare that a sum of Rs 1000/= (One thousand only) donated by him shall hereafter vest in the said Trustees. The said Trustees have been put in possession of the said purpose of the Trust. It shall form a nucleus for the Trust. The Trustees shall have power to accept donations from any quarter in cash, moveable's or immoveable with or without conditions.




• The Board of Trustees shall meet at least once in six months or as often as required to transact business of the Trust. The quorum of Board of Trustees shall be 7 (Seven only). However, the number shall be seven members in case the board is ten. All the questions before the Board of Trustees shall be decided by a majority of members present and should there be any equality of votes,the President or the Presiding Trustee shall have a casting vote. In case of any urgency, when there may not be a sufficient time to convene a meeting of Board of Trustees and in all such cases such a procedure may, from time to time, be prescribed by the Board of Trustees, the Secretary may obtain orders by circulations of papers among the trustees present at the headquarters of Trust. Such decisions arrived at by circulation shall be placed before the next meeting of the Board of Trustees for their ratification. Should a difference of opinion arise in the course of such circulation, the matter shall not be decided by circulation but shall be placed before the meeting of the Board of Trustees.




• The Treasurer shall maintain all the accounts of Trust and get them audited once in a year and present before the Board of Trustees within 3 months from the close of the year.




• The funds of the Trust shall be deposited in one of the schedule Banks. For the present they shall be deposited in State Bank of India, CARI Branch, Izatnagar. The President, Secretary and the Treasurer (either of two) shall jointly operate to account. The Treasurer shall maintain the accounts.




• Secretary shall attend to correspondence. The Treasurer shall maintain the accounts.




• The Board of Trustees shall frame bye-laws for the administration of the Trust.




• In case the Trust is bound up its assets after meeting liabilities shall be transferred to another institution or body with same or similar objects.




• The Trust shall be Public Charitable Trust and its income and corpus shall always be applied only for such charitable purposes as are mentioned in the Trust Deed.




• The Trustees shall not do or commit any act so as to infringe the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961 as inforce and amended from time to time.




• a) No portion of Income or property of the Trust shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividend bonus or otherwise or by way of profit to persons who at any time are, or have been members of the Trust or to anyone or more of them or to any person claiming through anyone or more of them provided that.

  
  

b) Nothing in this clause shall prevent the payment by the Trust in good faith of reasonable remuneration to any of its officers or servants or to any other person in return for any services actually rendered to the Trust and payment of actual services actually rendered to the Trust and payment of actual journeys undertaken by them in connection with the work of Trust.




The stamp duty payable on settlement for charitable purposes is reduced to one half vide Item 86 of Notification No 13 dated 17-12-98.

The Trust is irrevocable. In witness where of Settlor has affixed his signature to this Deed of Trust on the date first above mentioned in the presence of the following witnesses.
